Microdermabrasion

What is microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, pain-free gentle 'sanding' or abrasion of the skin surface. It requires no down time after treatment. The length of the treatment and number of treatments vary depending on skin type and condition. Results are gradual but highly effective. Most people experience softer, smoother skin after their first treatment.

When should I get microdermabrasion?
Years of sun exposure and the aging process take their toll on the skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and changes in texture and color. Microdermabrasion can reduce the effects of aging and discoloration on our skin.

How does microdermabrasion work?
Using micro fine diamond encrusted wands and suction, the topmost layer of dull lifeless skin cells is whisked away leaving your skin dewy fresh.

Is it safe?
Microdermabrasion is very safe for the skin. Length of treatment and number of treatments is dependent on skin type and condition. This non-invasive skin care treatment can be completed in a short period of time and without pain. Ideal for people on the go, there is no "downtime" from work or social activities. The results are gradual but highly effective for clearer, healthier looking skin.

How often do I need treatments?
We will assess your skin problem and design a protocol that meets your needs. Ten to twelve treatments spaced two to three weeks apart is a typical protocol.

Dermabrasion

Is a much deeper highly effective form of skin surface 'sanding' used for deeper wrinkles, high degrees of sundamage, acne,  scars and rhinophyma.
It usually reqiures one week to heal and te redness takes 6 weeksto settle. You will need to avoid direct sunlight and use sun protection.
Dermabrasion is often a better alternative to laser resurfacing for people with the darker type of mediterranean skin.
